What I Want New Mothers to Know
I remember feeling totally out of sorts when Diva was born. I looked around at other young mums thinking that they were so put together and in control. They didn't look at all sleep deprived or overwhelmed and they certainly never left the house with unmatched socks and unwashed hair.
Lucky for me, I had a wonderful group of friends in England who treated us like family and would help in any way they could. All I needed to do was ask.
New moms should just know that they don't have to shoulder everything by themselves. All they need to do is voice their request. People are usually more than happy to oblige but they can't read your mind. So just ask.
Oh, and I would also tell them about milk donation.
