Merry Christmas from the Moppins family & Georgia!
Last week was a frenzied mix of cooking, cleaning, and preparations for our English guest, Georgia.

Of course, it was also a week of finals for Diva, business trips for Engineer, and end of the year appointments for everyone including the mop-headed dogs who are now quite nicely trimmed.

As soon as Miss Georgia arrived, we hit the ground running.

You may remember her harrowing journey of arrival and departure the last time she visited.  If not you can read about it here, here, here, and here.

Friday night our plans were thwarted by the weather.  Instead of our scheduled outdoor activities, we took her to eat Mexican food and went home to visit and watch a movie.

I love this photo of Engineer and his maniacal eyes.
Saturday we swept up Engineer's bosses wife (hi Ms. Julie!) in our craziness and we all trundled down to Natchitoches to their Christmas festival. Ms. Julie has friends there and was kind enough to show all of us around.  It was a beautiful setting to be sitting riverside and watch the fireworks against a backdrop of Christmas lights.

The upcoming week will be full of parties and frivolity - just as it should be.

It's hard to believe that this is the last menu plan fully in 2014.  Where did the time go?

Our menu is so easy this week due to all of the get-togethers.

From our family to yours, have a very merry Christmas!
