Menu Plan

This past weekend was Opening Weekend and Engineer dropped a doe the first morning.  That was a welcome feat seeing as last year he had very little time to hunt and didn't get a thing.  Engineer (and  my grocery budget) were very sad about that.

Because we now have lovely venison coming to a freezer near me, I had to double time it on the clearing out the freezer process.  Yikes!  We may start to have some bizarre supper combinations very soon.

We had a fun Halloween get-together with friends and Trick-or-Treating with the neighborhood kiddos.

One of my girlfriends had a lovely brunch/open house this week.  It's always nice to spend time with friends...especially over food.

Other than that, we've had a fairly quiet week.  It was an odd one in that it seemed to drag on forever.

This is my absolute favorite time of year.  From October 31st to January 2nd, it's all about family and giving and friends and gratitude and food and fun and PARTIES!!!!!

November especially is a time to be giving thanks and for thankful giving.

This week we will be eating:

Sunday - Orzo Stuffed Peppers, Fried Squash, and Panzanella
Monday - Spinach & Ricotta Frittata, Roasted Tomatoes & Mushrooms, and Broiled Grapefruit
Tuesday - Marinated Pork Chops, Creamed Spinach, & Hot Tomato Grits
Wednesday - Chili & Cornbread
Thursday - Pumpkin Soup & Beerscotti
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers

This is part of Menu Plan Monday.
