Menu Plan - Pantry Challenge Week 14
Happy April Fool's Day!
Saturday was our third installment of our Frugal Living classes; this one was on Menu Planning. I love getting together with the ladies and swapping stories and tips; I always walk away from a class learning something new.
Okay, so I'm not sold on the month-at-a-time meal planning. That's what Super Mom & Practically Virtuous do and it works out great for them. Maybe I'm looking for an excuse here, but...I think because of the CSA, we can't menu plan that far out in advance. It has nothing to do with the fact that we are all a bit peculiar at The Little Pink House and need to work within a tighter framework. Well, that's my story anyway and I'm stickin' to it.
So back to a weekly plan we go:
Sunday - Leftovers
Monday - Ginger Sesame Chicken & Broccoli over Rice w/Garlic Sesame Bok Choy
Tuesday - Beans, Green, & Cornbread
Wednesday - Taquitos, Refried Beans, & Mexican Rice
Thursday - BBQ Ribs, Warm Sweet Potato Salad, Braised Radishes
Friday - Date Night - Chicken and Pasta w/Steamed Veggies
Saturday - Breakfast Casserole, Sauteed Apples, and Broiled Grapefruit
This is part of Menu Plan Monday.
