Menu Ideas From the Brookshire's Ad

A meal plan is a great way to save money and not waste food.

I want to show you that as long as you are intentional in your shopping and cooking, you will save money on your grocery bill regardless if you use coupons or not. Generally, the cost of the whole meal will be less than or equal to the tip you would leave at a restaurant.

This week you could have:

Hot Dogs, Chips & Orange Slices
Use:  Bar-S Franks, Doritos, 2 lbs. Navel Oranges

Taquitos & Pinto Beans
Use:  Jose Ole Taquitos, Food Club Canned Pinto Beans x 4 (cook them all and save half for another night)

Nachos
Use:  Leftover Doritos, Leftover Pinto Beans, Sargento Cheese, La Victoria Salsa, Food Club Sour Cream

Cabbage Rolls & Potatoes Au Gratin
Use:  Cabbage x 2lbs. 5lb. bag Potatoes, Sargento Cheese, Tennessee Pride Sausage, Food Club Tomato Paste

Chicken Strips & Salad
Use:  Foster Farms Chicken Strips, Fresh Express Salad

Corny Dogs & Grapes

That's 13 meals for between $66.12 - $72.17.  That's between $5.09 - $5.55  per meal or $1.27 - $1.39 per person per meal.
