Another glorious week of being surrounded by friends and family.

After a quick clean-up from Bestie Fest, we set up for Thanksgiving.  We hosted our parents, friends, and neighbors for the big meal.  It was very reminiscent of the huge meals we had when I was a child.  My extended family is large and we always had folks that had no nearby family to celebrate with us. I am truly thankful to be able to carry on that tradition.  This was the first major holiday that was celebrated in our new house.  Now that it has been christened with a big family feast, it feels like home.

We did do the Black Friday thing starting at 6am.  We had so much fun Engineer, our neighbor, and I.  We got a lot of Christmas shopping knocked out.  And I tell you what, it was the most pleasant Black Friday shopping experience I have ever had.  No craziness, they had almost everything we wanted in stock, and we had a lovely and dare I say, relaxed time.

It took a couple of days to get the house back to normal after having everyone over (LOTS of dishes to wash) but we left a table out and it has been brilliant having an extra table.  It is the gift wrapping and Christmas correspondence center.  It's amazing how one extra flat surface can make such a difference in efficiency.

This week we are having lots of leftovers...still:

Sunday - Dinner with Friends
Monday - Leftovers
Tuesday - Leftovers
Wednesday - Pumpkin Soup & Garlic Bread
Thursday - Ratatouille & Pasta w/Salad
Friday - Dinner with Friends
Saturday - Dinner w/Diva's Book Club
