Menu

Last week was spent unpacking boxes (will it ever end?) canning, and getting Diva ready for camp.

I was so pleased to have my menu plan in place so that there was no question what was happening for dinner.

The cookbook clear-out is doing what it is supposed to do.  I have several cookbooks now sitting in the giveaway box by the door.  So far, the 1950s cookbooks are rocking it.  The Good Salad Book stays and Taste of Texas is outta here!  If we keep this up, I'll be down by half by the end of the summer...well maybe by a third...20% for sure...

Saying that, the great cookbook purge is suspended for the week since it is just the two of us.  We will be eating from the freezer, pantry, and going out this week instead.

Oh, and if you are looking for some Independence Day food inspiration, check out this post with links to all kinds of recipes.

  3. You would roll your eyes at our house. Somewhere around 4 p.m., one of us says to the other, "What are we having for dinner?" lol

  4. I have a large cookbook collection, and I should probably get rid of a few, but I'm pretty attached to them! Good luck with the purge!
