Menu Plan

It's full steam ahead until mid-summer for us.

Last Sunday, Engineer and I started leading the second series of Generation Change - a financial course for teens.

Monday I had another massage before my friend went back home.  Thanks Ms. Sara!  It was awesome as usual.  I went straight from there to a PTA meeting.

On Wednesday, Diva helped one of her friends prepare for the upcoming PSIA (think UIL for private school) meet. That evening while Diva was at youth group, Engineer and I attended a small group church meeting.  Since all those that were in attendance are in our Sunday School class, we had a great time chit-chatting.

Diva was in high demand this week.  A friend of mine asked if Diva would come and help organize her daughters' library complete with stickers showing how many AR points are available for each book as well as reading level.  I didn't have to ask Diva twice about going to play in someone's library.

Thursday evening, Engineer and I set off for Dallas to attend Dave Ramsey's "EntreLeadership" and "Smart" conferences over the weekend.  When we checked into our hotel, we found out we had been randomly selected to receive an upgrade to a suite.  Yippee!  The historic Magnolia Hotel was lovely and smack in downtown Dallas.  I would highly recommend it; they serve bedtime milk and cookies.  Enough said.

Friday while we were learning about leadership, Diva was competing alongside her friends at PSIA.  She performed Poetry Interpretation and was involved in the vocabulary competition.  At the conference, Engineer and I had the opportunity to briefly talk to Rachael Cruze and told her we were teaching her curriculum to our youth at church.  That night, Engineer and I enjoyed a meal at Pyramid, where we were fortunate enough to have the chef come out and talk to us.  He was from Birmingham, England, was very nice, and made excellent food.  Really excellent food.

Saturday Diva hung out with her grandparents and saw "Noah"; she was not impressed.  We were at the Smart Conference all day; which was amazing, if not slightly overwhelming.  It was quite a lot to take in and we have been digesting information ever since.

On the way home Sunday, we stopped off in Tyler to pick up Engineer's parents' van.  (Having a van in my driveway makes moving feel a whole lot more real.)  Then we visited with his Grandmother a little while before returning home in just enough time to pick up Diva and take her to youth group for a charity scavenger hunt.

By the end of the evening, we were all zapped and not really ready to face the week, yet here we are.  Another week has begun.

This week promises to be less busy but equally exciting...

Have a wonderful week y'all!

    1. It was excellent marketing! They have a welcome reception with free drinks from 4-6pm then cookies & milk from 8-10pm and a breakfast buffet in the morning. The way to my heart for sure is through food. :)
