Menu Plan & eMeals

My lovely living room which is was always clean and tidy since it's the first thing that guests see when they come for a visit, is now officially tornado-fied.

I have boxes stacked on every surface.
The pictures are off of the walls.
It looks quite sad and soulless.

And that's just one room's worth of stuff!  Yikes!

Life still has to keep on keeping on...it just has to keep on despite all of the boxes.

Last week was Spring Break for Diva.  She spent the first weekend with her grandparents (6 houses away - oh, how we will miss that when we move) and the last weekend with her friend.  Sandwiched in between, she and I relaxed all week.  It was really nice to not have anything scheduled.

We are trying to keep our dance card not quite so full for awhile so we can purge and pack.  Not all that fun, but necessary.

In that same vein, I am going back to my eMeals plan.  They do all of the work for me:  the menu plan, the recipes, and the shopping list.  All I have to do is shop, cook, and eat.

I love that I can save the menu plans to my computer and have them for future reference.  We have eaten some great recipes from eMeals and my family is all too happy for me to make them again.  I also have a big binder where I've printed out the recipes and shopping lists.

For the most part, the recipes are seasonal which is nice because the when the ingredients are in season, they are less expensive.  Currently, we are using the Paleo Family Plan.  In the past, we have used the Clean Eating and Crock Pot plans and have been impressed with each one.  If you like the idea of meal planning but don't know where to start, start with eMeals.

Engineer and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary this past week.  We are postponing our celebration until later.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!  If you are looking for a recipe for your Irish meal tonight, how about some cooked cabbage or colcannon?

This week we will be eating:

Sunday - Leftovers
Monday - Mushroom Bacon Meatballs w/Roasted Carrots & Squash
Tuesday - Turkey Goulash w/Bacon Cauli-Rice
Wednesday - Pork Tenderloin Scaloppine w/Salad
Thursday - Sweet & Tangy Chicken Thighs w/Sauteed Peppers & Onions
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers

This is part of MPM.

  1. I love menu planning. I've heard good things about eMeals, but I've never tried it. Some weeks, I think it would definitely be the way to go!

  3. I have a friend who swears by eMeals, but I haven't tried it yet. I should look into that, because sometimes trying to decide what to make is more work than actually making it! ;)
