Menu Plan - Pantry Challenge Week 46

Thank you to all those who have served our country in the armed forces.  Happy Veterans Day!

Whew!  Last week was busy, long, and good.

Our French cooking class was last Wednesday and this time we made hummus. pate a choux, and pastry cream.  Although our cream puffs were good, they were hard work; I'm not sure they will be a dish I'll be making again...the traditional way.  Maybe the throw-the-stuff-in-the-Kitchen-Aid way, but not the traditional way.

Engineer went hunting and due to warm weather and the wind, no deer were moving.  He has one more weekend to fill my freezer with doe.  No pressure Engineer...okay, well some pressure.

Diva participated in the local Hymn Festival and got a Superior marking.  We were very proud of her.

Diva also performed with her school for the Veterans Day program which is always moving.  There is just something extra special about children singing about being Americans or singing the National Anthem.  It is particularly stirring.
