Menu Plan Pantry Challenge - Week 28

I don't like being wrong.  At all.  Ask my husband...

Remember how last week I said that I didn't think we could continue on not having to cook?  Well, I was wrong.  And how happy I was to be wrong.

We took full advantage of being taken out for my birthday and invited to friends' houses and eating surplus food leftover from functions.

What that meant was a week of no cooking...unless you count the mountain of canning that continues to be tackled daily.  No complaints from me, from my dishwasher maybe, but no complaints from me.

Here again, I will attempt to make a menu plan but I'm making no promises as to whether or not it gets used.  Maybe I should be writing a canning plan instead, just to have a sense of accomplishment and organization...

Sunday - Dinner with Parents
Monday - Pasta w/Ricotta & Greens and Salad
Tuesday - Pancakes, Sausage, and Ice Cold Watermelon (the best way to eat it)
Wednesday - Taco Salad
Thursday - Leftovers
Friday - Supper Club
Saturday - Date Night

This is part of Menu Plan Monday.

  1. We've got an abundance of watermelon right now... I'm thinking of making a sorbet! Taco salad is on our menu too. Good luck with the week!

    1. Thanks! Watermelon and Feta Salad, Watermelon Rind Pickles, Watermelon Jelly, Watermelon Wine, Toasted Watermelon Seeds, any of those on your menu plan? Or is the oldie but goodie in your plan, ice cold watermelon...mmmmm....

  2. The garden has me overwhelmed right now! I'm grateful hubby has grilled something each night to go with whatever veggies I've been working on.

    1. Lots of canning going on then right? Good luck. I know that overwhelmed feeling very well when you are staring at bushels of produce.
