Menu Ideas from the Brookshire's Ad

A meal plan is a great way to save money and not waste food.

I want to show you that as long as you are intentional in your shopping and cooking, you will save money on your grocery bill regardless if you use coupons or not. Generally, the cost of the whole meal will be less than or equal to the tip you would leave at a restaurant.

These ideas are taken directly from the Brookshire's circulars.

Salisbury Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, & Grapes
Use:  Banquet Meals x 4, Black Seedless Grapes x 2lbs.

5 Minute Onion Mushroom Pork Chops & Ratatouille
Use:  Boneless Pork Chops, eggplant, Hunt's Tomatoes x 2, PictSweet Peppers and Onions

Pork Tacos & Fruit Salad
Use:  Leftover Boneless Pork Chops, Mission Tortillas, Leftover Grapes, Royal Gala Apple, Mango, Strawberries

Sausage, Biscuits, and Yogurt w/Orange Juice
Use Brookshire's Sausage, Tropicana Orange Juice, Food Club Biscuits, Yoplait Yogurt x 4

Tamale Pie & Steamed Veggies
Use:  Martha White Cornmeal, Hunt's Tomatoes, Food Club Shredded Cheddar, PictSweet Frozen Corn, Green Giant Steamers x 2

Okra Gumbo & Cornbread
Use:  PictSweet Seasoning Blend Frozen Vegetables, PictSweet Okra Gumbo Blend Frozen Vegetables, Hunt's Tomatoes x 2, Leftover Cornmeal)

Lasagna & Salad
Use:  Stouffer's Family Sized Lasagna, Fresh Express Shreds, Petite Carrots

That's 11 meals for around $66.83 - $69.35 or around $6.08 - $6.30 per meal.
