Menu Ideas From the Brookshire's Ad

A meal plan is a great way to save money and not waste food.

I want to show you that as long as you are intentional in your shopping and cooking, you will save money on your grocery bill regardless if you use coupons or not. Generally, the cost of the whole meal will be less than or equal to the tip you would leave at a restaurant.

These ideas are taken directly from the Brookshire's circulars.

This week you could feed your family:

Savory Cheesecake & Greek Salad
Use:  Ritz Crackers (for crust), Philadelphia Cream Cheese x 2, Food Club Eggs 18ct, Bacon from The Real Big Deal, Kraft Cheese, Athenos Feta Cheese, Cucumber, Green Pepper (save all of the sliced off tops of the peppers for later), Nature's Sweet Tomatoes

BLTs & Orange Slices
Use:  Leftover Bacon, Brookshire's Bread, Tomatoes, Oranges x 3lbs. (save one orange for later)

Breakfast for Supper - Bacon, Muffins, & Eggs
Use:  Leftover Bacon, Muffins from The Real Big Deal, Leftover Eggs

Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, and Green Peas
Use:  Cook's Ham x 4lb., 10lbs Potatoes, Food Club Canned Peas x2, CranApple Juice from The Real Big Deal (to make a glaze for the ham)

Quiche & Homefries
Use: Pillsbury Flour, Leftover, Eggs, Leftover Ham, Leftover Potatoes

Red Beans & Rice w/Greens
Use:  Tony Chachere's Dinner Mix x 2, PictSweet Greens x 2

Pizza & Sauteed Apples
Use:  DiGiorno Pizza, Apples x 2lbs, Leftover Juice

Twice Baked Potatoes & Cheesy Broccoli Noodles

That is 16 meals (over two weeks of food) for $114.82 if you are not using coupons.  That's $7.18 per meal or $1.79 per person per meal.

If you are using coupons then your total would be more like $100.92 or $6.31 per meal or $1.58 per person per meal.
