Menu Plan Monday
We are one week away from Thanksgiving. Can you believe it? October sped along but November has been a blur! (By the way, if you are looking for some Thanksgiving dessert inspiration look no further.)
Monday I had the privilege of meeting up with some fellow bloggers to just chit chat the morning away. I had a great time and it was so fun to discuss all manner of subjects. (Hi gals!)
Friday, Diva participated in a piano Hymn Festival held at a local university. She was awarded a Superior - the highest merit. Yea Diva!
On Saturday I was asked to be a part of the adjudicating panel for the Boys & Girls Club's Jr. Youth of the Year Award. That was a great experience and I am so honored that I was asked to be a part of it. I expect greatness from all of the children who participated in the contest. The child who won has overcome and is still in the midst of extraordinary obstacles. At 13 he has handled pressure and situations with which many adults would not be able to cope.
Last night my oldest friend invited me to her church's Ladies' Banquet. It was wonderful and the message was something that I needed to hear. (Thank you, Ms. Cin, for inviting me!) My favorite part of the evening was when Cin's Momma came up to me and said, "My little homemaker. When you were growing up, I never thought you would be the homemaker!" Me neither Mrs. P. Me neither. :)
This is the third week of the month which means crazy times around the Little Pink House with extra appointments and meetings and such. >Sigh< When will I just be able to hide in my kitchen for a week and bake 'til I can't bakes no more?!
This week will culminate in two showers (baby and wedding respectively) a church work day, and a House Party. The House Party is for Just Dance 3 on the Kinect. That should be great fun. I would imagine especially fun for the kids - not because they will be dancing, but because they will be laughing at us parents trying to boogie oogie oogie.
Let's get down to the nitty gritty shall we:
Monday - Lemon Chicken, Noodles, Green Beans
Tuesday - Sausage, Biscuits, & Gravy and Sauteed Apples
Wednesday - Turkey, Dressing, Sweet Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole
Thursday - Chili & Cornbread w/Salad
Friday - Date Night
This is part of Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday.
