May Finals

The part of our household budget that I control deals with groceries, toiletries, sundries, and pressies for two adults, one child, and two dogs.  These are the numbers from last month:

Total Retail:  $1,374.77
Total OOP:  $196.35
Savings 86%

As for our yearly goals update:
  • We paid for Engineer's last semester of school.  Hallelujah!  We are almost done with his Master's...and yes, I did say we are almost done.  ;)
  • Diva had a personal goal of making All A's for the whole school year and she reached her goal
(The Library and Music Awards were bestowed upon her as well at the end of year awards ceremony.  Yea Diva!  We are so proud.)

On the inside of our bathroom cabinet we have taped up a list of our financial goals for the year. As well as dollar amounts, we also have a scripture that pertains to each item we want to fulfill.

The scripture attached to bankrolling Engineer's school was:
Proverbs 9:9  Give [instruction] to a wise [man], and he will be yet wiser: teach a just [man], and he will increase in learning.
