Madly in Love

Engineer says we plant dogs and roses.

Dogs, because we have had to bury one of our furry family members at each house so far and roses, well, because we always plant a rose garden wherever we live.

We love them both - dogs and roses.
I digress...

When we pick out roses to plant, we have certain criteria:

Are they smelly?
Are they beautiful?
Do they have a great name?

That last one is kind of fun since I like the ones called Texas (obviously) Tahitian Sunset, and Showbiz (naturally) while Engineer likes the ones like Cinco de Mayo, Mr. Lincoln, and Koko Loko.
But he especially likes the warm and fuzzy names like those of this fine lady whom he chose.

She is called Falling in Love.

We walked outside to check the front yard and porch before the open house a couple of weeks ago and he said with a wistful sigh, "Isn't it beautiful?  That rose should sell the house by itself."

1-4-3 EM for being so Scentimental.

  1. My favorite is Sterling Silver but they tend to be hard to find. We love roses here too!

    1. Due to all the funny weather and us trying to sell our house, I haven't been able to play in the dirt as much as I would like to.
