Do my eyes deceive me?
Is that?...no, it can't be...could it?
The sun?

I just stood outside for a little while today and relished in the warmth of the suns rays that were tentatively peeking through some lagging clouds in a hazy sky.

Yesterday we took a walk as a family through the neighborhood not because it was sunny but because it wasn't rainy.

As I type, Spring is being heralded by that great proclaimer of warm weather:  the ice cream truck.

Please don't get me wrong, I am thankful for the rain.  We are going into spring with water levels above where they typically are (a little too far above perhaps for some residents of Caddo Lake where flood levels are being reached.)

Maybe we can have a year without the ugly word "drought" looming over us.
Maybe...hopefully...

The most notable thing that happened last week was a weekend of celebrations.
Engineer and I celebrated our 16 wedding anniversary on Friday 13th.
And on Saturday, we attended Diva's friend's murder mystery birthday party.  I love a good murder mystery (that can be confirmed by the watch list on my DVR) and we all had fun.

I don't know about you but I get a little twitchy sometimes and no, it's not from coffee consumption.
My whole being sort of vibrates.
It's like I need to go somewhere.
Or do something.
I need a project.

There.  I said it.

Generally when I say those words "I need a project" aloud, I get saddled with a project so far outside my comfort zone that it's in another zip code entirely.
However, I always learn something from whatever colossal task is set before me.
And I never regret getting involved.

For now, I will attempt to contain my jitters and put my energy to good use.

This week we will be eating:

Sunday - Leftovers
Monday - Fish, Fries, & Peas
Tuesday - Steak, Baked Potatoes, & Creamed Spinach
Wednesday - Chicken Curry, Rice, & Salad
Thursday - Beans, Greens, & Cornbread
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers

This is part of MPM.

  4. Yay! Let's hear it for springtime's arrival. Even when there's still snow layered thick on the ground.

And I love that Friday night is Date Night in your neck of the woods. Any night when I don't have to cook is a cause for celebration.

It's good to be here with you again, Pary!

    1. I don't know if it's the best part but it is certainly a welcome breather from cooking. :)
