Train #BulletproofPicasso Album Review

Train, the fabulous Grammy-winning band that brought us "Hey Soul Sister", "Calling All Angels", "Drive By", and "Marry Me," has done it again.

In their 7th studio album "Bulletproof Picasso," the band sings the soundtrack of life.  The sweetness of "Don't Grow Up Too Fast" will bring tears to any parent's eyes.

We at Beloved Bayou are Train fans anyway but in the name of a true review, I tried to be as unbiased as I could for this album...which is more difficult than it sounds since Train is so cool!  Oh, and by the way, no one was more excited than Diva about reviewing their new album.  She is the biggest Train fan in the house.

Lucky for me, my high expectations were met.  From the first digitally altered note of "Cadillac, Cadillac", I was hooked.

Train has managed to do what so many other artists can't, and that is to stay relevant.  Their musical stylings are evocative and if I close my eyes, I can vividly see a story play out in my head of each track.

Only one track was a bit of a distraction, but hey, I will overlook one less-than-stellar song on an album filled with winners.

Train will be performing live on QVC at 5pm ET on September 5th.

If you would like to pre-order Bulletproof Picasso, you can do so from iTunes or from Amazon.

  1. I think it's hard to keep putting out albums where every single song is strong, so yeah, one weaker track can be forgiven!
