Last week Diva returned home from her mission trip, Engineer went on a business trip, and I kept the home fires burning.

Ever since we have moved here, we haven't had a nice long stint of everybody staying in our new house to get completely settled.  Somebody has been gone at least part of each week.

School.  School will be what normalizes us I think.  Well...as normal as we can be.

As for the name of our new abode, I think we have finally come up with one:  "Beloved Bayou."  As in:

Engineer and I are in agreement, however, Diva still likes "The Habitat" which is rather appropriate seeing as the cat keeps bringing in all manner of varmints.  What are we going to do with that darn cat?!

The copycat cookbook turned out to be about 50/50.  The best things I made from it were the KFC biscuits, the Chili's chicken enchilada soup, and the Starbucks chocolate mocha cake; they were delicious.

This week I will be supplementing stuff from the freezer with recipes from Dori Sanders' Country Cooking (1995.)

Our menu is as follows:

Sunday - Nachos & Fresh Veggies
Monday - Chicken Curry over Rice w/Tomato & Cucumber Salad
Tuesday - Turducken, Fried Corn, and Mess o' Greens Salad w/Warm Pecan Dressing
Wednesday - Frog Legs over a Big Salad
Thursday - Braised Venison Steak, Mashed Potatoes, & Steamed Carrots
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers

This is part of MPM.
