Perfectly Practical #202 - Coobie

Coobie sent me samples to facilitate my review.  All opinions, weird hang-ups about bedroom talk, and love of Bette Midler are my own.

Y'all know I have a fairly strict B&B (bedroom and bank accounts) policy.
As in we don't need to know what's going on in each other's bedrooms or bank accounts.

But...

I was given the opportunity to try out a new-to-me type of bra - a Coobie Seamless Bra - and I thought I would relax my B&B policy just a smidge.  (For the record, I consider underwear a bedroom topic.)

Come on ladies, we all know what's wrong with traditional brassieres:

Unless we have the muscle tone of an Olympian, we get the roll flopping over our side/back strap.
They (whoever "they" are) are reports that underwire may cause tumors.
Sports bras squish you flat.
The lacy ones are itchy.
If you lose or gain weight, you have to buy new bras to suit your new figure.
The padded ones make you look over-endowed.
The thin ones don't leave anything to the imagination.
And if you wear one of each in succession, you look to have inflated or deflated yourself.
The list goes on and on.

With the Coobie Seamless Bra, you don't have a lot of those issues.

The side & back muffin top thing doesn't happen.
There is no underwire.
The sizing is one size fits most then they have a plus sized one size fits most as well.
There is very light padding just to keep you modest.

When I first took a look at the bra, I thought it might be a little like a sports bra which is fine, but I'm not a fan of those generally.  I find that they tend to rub against my skin when I am doing repetitive motions.  As well, they are a bear to get on and off with all of the twisting and such.  Besides, they give me the wretched uni-boob and lord knows that when I'm at the gym, I don't need any help looking unattractive.

The Coobie's material is very soft which why this bra would be perfect for mastectomy patients, nursing moms, or adolescent girls just getting used to the feel of a bra.
I felt supported.
The modesty pads in the cups are removable.
The Coobie Seamless Bra has adjustable straps for just the right fit.
It did not rub against my skin while doing repetitive motions.
It was easy to get on and off.

Here were the things that I was most concerned about with this bra:

Was it comfortable?  Yes.
Did it keep my shape?  Yes.
Did it fit nicely?  Yes.
Was it noticeable under my clothes?  No.
Did it wash well?  Yes.
Did it keep everything in place even during exercise?  Yes.

One downside is that because the bra's band is quite wide, I would imagine that it would be visible with sleeveless tops.

All in all, I am very impressed with this brassiere and to top it all off, they are very reasonably priced.  In fact, Coobie is offering readers 25% any order of $40 or more at www.shopcoobie.com with the promotion code USFG25. *expired

Just for fun, I am leaving you with one of the all-time greatest performers, the Divine Miss M, explaining how the brassiere got its name on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson.

*Caution, this is possibly the raciest thing I have ever or will ever put on the blog.  You have been warned.

    1. They have two sizes a "one size" from 32A up to 36D and a "full size" from 38A to 42DD.

  5. I can't believe they really go down as far in size as they claim but I may take a chance, bras are SO horrible to find a decent one.
