Menu Plan

The week went by as per usual and then the weekend was slammed.
I much prefer the week to be busy and the weekend to be relaxed but c'est la vie.

The only notable event during the week was a massage by my friend, a lovely masseuse, who happened to be in town.

We don't often have Diva with us on Friday nights since we usually have date night and she stays with her grandparents but as it happened, our date night was switched.  We had a family date night on Friday, ate our favorite pizza, and watched "Ender's Game."   We all really enjoyed it, but thought the book was better.

Saturday, our trio went to the gym and immediately afterwards Engineer went to choir practice and Diva started getting ready to go the the movies with her friend.  Saturday was the first time I had ever dropped off Diva and a friend for the movies.  It was a little bittersweet.

Engineer and I attended the first half of a local political convention (we had too many appointments and couldn't stay for the whole thing) before heading out to procure ingredients for and cook our assigned dish for Supper Club.  By the way, gnocchi is not the easiest thing to find in small town East Texas.  :)

My Momma took Diva to see her friend in a play that evening while Engineer and I were at Supper Club.  This month's theme was French cuisine with a gorgeous menu of Butternut Squash Soup, Coq au Vin, Ratatouille, Gnocchi w/Mushrooms, Homemade Bread, and Chocolate Creme Brulee.  Everything was delicious.

This week we will be eating:

Sunday - Pizza & Salad at church
Monday - Ham, Green Beans, & Red Hot Apples
Tuesday - Salad Sampler (Tabbouleh, Strawberry & Spinach Salad, Pasta Salad, etc.)
Wednesday - Sun Dried Tomato & Spinach Frittata w/Salad
Thursday - Pork Chops, Pecan Wild Rice, Steamed Carrots
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers

This is part of MPM.

  2. Ooh, that sounds like a delicious menu this week! We're on the run most of the week with my mom in town (yay!) so we're using the crock pot and planning easy things that will go in the freezer if we decide to eat out instead!

    1. Our Supper Club always does a great job of picking out a delectable menu. :) I wouldn't mind eating like that all of the time however my waistline would most likely suffer.
