Aquifer - A Review by Diva

Diva reviewed this book for the blog.

Aquifer is about a young boy named Luca, whose father was the water deliverer.  Luca had always thought that his life depended on his father, but when his father goes missing, it's up to him and a pirate to find him.  Luca discovers that the "water rats" he had been brought up to fear were actually normal human beings, and that, against all that he had been taught, he could feel emotions.

This was an interesting book.  It really made me think about what could happen in the future.  I like this genre but wasn't taken by this story like I have been others in its category.

The target audience was pre-teen to teen children.  It was a little slow, but once it got going, wasn't bad.  It had some romance and the main characters were well developed.

I would recommend this book to someone who enjoys futuristic reads.

Thank you to BookLook Bloggers for the opportunity to read this book.

  2. Sounds like something my niece would love. She always has her nose in a book. Takes after her favorite aunt. (Me.) LOL

    1. It sounds a little strange to me but Diva will read almost anything and give it a fair shake. :)
