Menu Plan

Last week.
What a week.
It started with a party and ended with a funeral.

Last Sunday was our church's annual "New Member Pot Luck" lunch.  It's always a nice to fellowship over food after the service and it's a lovely way to honor our new members.  From there, Diva had a Jr. Daughters of the King meeting then we, like millions of other folks, attended Super Bowl Parties - Diva with her youth group, and Engineer & I with friends.

Monday night I was signed up to help feed the local Symphony.  They are rehearsing for an upcoming concert which will debut a piece by an Ark-La-Tex composer.  It sounded great and I am so looking forward to the concert.

On Wednesday some girlfriends and I got together for lunch and on Thursday, Diva shadowed the 7th grade at another private school.  Her school only goes to 8th grade and we are looking at our options for high school.

Engineer and Diva went on a Daddy/Daughter Dinner Date organized by the local Junior Daughters chapter.  They had a great time...and brought me home leftovers.  :)

Friday morning, we found out that the 22 year old son of some friends was in a tragic accident and passed away in the wee hours.  I cannot imagine the overwhelming feeling of loss that they are experiencing.  If you have a moment, please pray for the Dad, Momma, and younger brother that he left behind.

Engineer taught the last of the three Generation Change money management sessions at youth and I helped with the Debutante Tea which wrapped up our week.

This week we will be having:

Sunday - Sandwiches & Chips at church
Monday - Pumpkin Gratin w/Cabbage & Sausage
Tuesday - Roasted Turkey, Green Bean Casserole, & Salad (didn't get to this last week)
Wednesday - Pizza & Salad
Thursday - Crock Pot Enchiladas & Cabbage Slaw
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers

This is part of MPM.

  1. Oh, gosh, I am SO SORRY for the loss of your friend! There's not much that can be said about that, is there? Such a hard time for the entire family - my heart goes out to them (and to you).
