Madly in Love

I looked at her standing barefoot in the kitchen and I had a sinking feeling.
I said, "I think you did it.  Let's go see." and I dragged her in front of the closest mirror.
My suspicions were confirmed as I stood next to my 12 year old daughter who is now taller than I am.
After a couple of moments of silence, a big grin spread across her face.
She looked straight into my eyes and said, "Ha!  Shorty." and walked away.
Cheeky monkey.

1-4-3 DM.  Keep on growing!  Soon you will reach heights I can only dream 5'3"!  ;)

  1. Ha! Shorty! I love this part of their growing up.

    1. It is pretty exciting to see her reaching new heights. :)

  2. It's very surreal - I've gone through that twice!

    1. And at what point, Ms. Ronda, do you not call them "little" anymore? I feel I can't call her little when she's taller than me. ;)
