Madly in Love

I am madly in love with my life today.

Today is the anniversary of my birth and I have had a wonderfully low key day.

For the first time since school let out, we had no lessons, to activities, no appointments, nothing on the schedule.  It has been bliss!

Diva went to my parents' house for the morning and I managed to hang out clothes, do some gardening, make some syrup and wine from the 4 gallon box of blackberries I needed to deal with, and start some sweet pickles.

My house is clean.
My sweet friend took me to lunch and didn't mind that I had blackberry juice all over me.  :)
My parents are having us and my brother's family over for dinner tonight so I don't have to cook.
I had a moment to take a catnap.
Diva and I watched an episode of Food Network Star.

Today has been the best day!  The perfect way to spend my birthday and like I said, I get to spend the evening at dinner with my family.  I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Well, I guess I could have asked for more:  more hats, more jewelry, more...  ;)

    1. Thanks! And when Engineer got home, he brought me flowers. The day keeps getting better and better.

  2. Happiest of birthdays to you! So glad you enjoyed it! I have a birthday in June and I celebrate the entire month! So, to me, my birthday just ended!

    Enjoy your birthday month!

    1. We do that too Ms. Shauna! All of us have birthdays at the beginning of months so we celebrate and leave the cards on the mantle all month long. :) Happy belated birthday to you. :)

  3. That sounds like a wonderful day :) Nothing wrong with low key!

  4. Absolutely nothing at all wrong with low key Ms. Victoria. :)
