Menu Plan Week 27
Well, it's official. Half of the year is over.
Before you know it Christmas will be here.
Perish the thought!
We went on a mission trip with our youth group two weeks ago and last week I spent the week trying to catch up with laundry, correspondence, and sleep. I'm not sure I was particularly successful in any of those endeavors.
Diva was in art camp last week and summer lessons continued. No matter if we were coming off of a mission trip with no sleep or not, real life stops for no man.
This past week also kicked off canning season which means from now until the end of the summer my house will smell of vinegar and I will have box after box of jars lined up on every flat surface.
I was asked to do the reflection at our Sunday evening Celtic service tonight which was a little out of my comfort zone. I have no problem with public speaking but being a keynote speaker of a church service is something I had never done before. I survived it and lived to tell the tale.
Our garden is looking beautiful and I am so enjoying plucking off a pepper or cucumber and chomping on it while I water the other plants.
This week I am lucky in that I will not necessarily be in charge of what we are eating most days this week.
We will be eating:
Sunday - Dinner at church
Monday - Tomato Spice-Rubbed Pork Roast, Garlic Green Vermicelli, & Slaw
Tuesday - Curried Chicken over Rice w/ Carrot & Craisin Salad
Wednesday - Mushroom Risotto & Salad
Thursday - Dinner with Friends
Friday - Dinner with Friends
Saturday - Date Night
This is part of Menu Plan Monday.
