Carmex Review & Giveaway
Oh, Caaahmeex! Mah hahrt be-loongs t' yeeew! (Said in my best Scarlett O'Hara.)
Carmex is right up there with Engineer, Diva, and cast iron cookware in my must-have-these-things-to-survive-on-a-desert-island kit.
I am particularly fond of their lotion. The one pictured above, the Healing Lotion, is great for everyday moisturizing.
On our way to a concert not too long ago, I pulled out the Healing Lotion in the car and asked my girlfriends if they would like to try it. They all loved the way that it soaked into our skin quickly and didn't feel greasy.
Plus, it kind of tingled a bit.
One lady did mention that she wasn't so fond of the smell (she is a non-scented person all the way) - that it smelled medicinal like the original Carmex lip salve. I don't mind the scent that I've seen described elsewhere as the "smell of an original Cabbage Patch doll". Those who are fellow children of the 80s can relate to that smell; it makes us feel a little nostalgic.
Now the Healing Cream is like a superhero for your skin. Look at the packaging even...I can totally see a superhero costume there...
This stuff is amazing! Find your roughest, scaliest, scariest driest skin and slather the Healing Cream on it. In no time flat, you will have lovely moisturized skin. I find this is exceptionally good for elbows and feet. Like the Healing Cream, is soaks in quickly and without greasiness.
We have yo-yo weather here in East Texas.
One day (yesterday) it's sunny and it's in the upper 70s and the next day (today) it's raining and in the 40s.
While the heater and air conditioner volley for supremacy, my skin looks like someone took a Brillo pad to it. Carmex lotion to the rescue!
The good folks at Carmex have offered one of my readers the opportunity to try out their Healing Cream and Healing Lotion for themselves. Please enter the rafflecopter below for your chance.
The winner has been contacted.
Carmex sent me samples to facilitate my review. All opinions and rubbish attempts at costume design for lotion bottles are my own.
