Madly in Love

I have been so busy the last 6 weeks with the COTA campaign that many aspects of my life have fallen apart been neglected.

My house, my pets, my cooking, my child, my friends, my exercise, my blog, and yes, even my husband have all had less than 50% of me at many some points or others during the campaign.

At a particularly stressful and fraught portion of the campaign, I was not sleeping or eating or paying attention to my surroundings or those in them; I was completely focused.
Consumed may be a better word.

I'm not proud of this, I'm just setting the scene.

We have a saying around here, "If it's not on the calendar, it doesn't exist."

Engineer wrote on my calendar, "Love your husband."

Ouch.

Engineer had written on the calendar to make sure he existed.

That was a low and a sharp turning point in the behind-the-scenes of the campaign.

Since that incident, I have made a concerted effort to make sure both Engineer and Diva know they more than exist.  They are loved and cherished above all.

  1. It's so easy to get distracted by everything else in our lives...thanks for the reminder that I need to focus on my family more than anything else too :)
