Madly in Love

Diva read her first really grown up modern fiction book, the Tom Clancy novel The Sum of All Fears.

She wanted to read this book because it was worth close to 60 Accelerated Reader points.

It took her awhile to get into it but once she did, every chapter she had to give us an update on the state of affairs.

She was riveted by the characters and shocked by their actions.  The character's flaws sparked a lot conversations between the two of us.

It was a joy to see her so enthralled with this book and making judgments as to what was the right and wrong way to react to different situations.

She was disappointed when it looked like one character was cheating on their spouse and was thrilled when she found out they weren't.  I enjoyed hearing her describe the twists and turns.

I am madly in love with our little Diva because she immerses herself in her books and still sees the world strictly in terms of right or wrong with no grey areas.
