Madly In Love

In the car, we listen to an Oldies station like Lawrence Welk, Johnny Mathis, Andrews Sisters type of Oldies station.

One of my favorite songs of all time ("Fever" by Peggy Lee) came on and Diva and I starting singing along right away.

In the middle of the song Diva asked, "Does Daddy give you fever?"  Yes, yes he does, but we don't need to go into that at your tender age and besides, it will scar you for life when you are older and think back on this moment.

I simply answered, "Yes," in between verses.

Then she asked, "Will my husband give me fever?"  Yes, I should hope so, but now I'm the one who's going to be scarred for life thinking of my little girl in that manner so can we stop all of this uncomfortable talk and just sing?

I again responded, "Yes," and kept singing.

After we finished singing the song she asked the question, "Is it a lovely way to burn?"  Yes my darling it is and we need to stop talking about this before Momma has a wreck or is a wreck, either way, wrecks are bad.

I smiled and went for the hat trick, "Yes," and was thankful that "Baby Elephant Walk" was next on the line-up.

1-4-3 DM for making my days interesting.
