Post Honey Bunches of Oats Review

Y'all, I have a problem.

I am a cereal addict.  I could happily live most of my days eating only cereal.  Children's cereal like Marshmallowy Sugar Lumps or Overly-Sweetened Shapes in Colors that Defy Nature or adult cereals like Branny McBrannigan or Twiggy von Sawdust, either side of the spectrum, I love cereal.  Period.

That's why I can't keep it in the house.  I will eat an entire box in a couple of days.

So imagine me jumping around like a squirrel after a bowl Marshmallowy Sugar Lumps when I found out that I had the opportunity to sample and review Post Honey Bunches of Oats.

Engineer was also super excited since he may get one bowl out the box before it is decimated.

Even though I like both ends of the stick when it comes to health vs. taste in cereal, I prefer somewhere in the middle - Honey Bunches of Oats is somewhere in the middle for me.

There are no psychedelic colors involved that turn my milk puce.  There are no twigs to poke the inside of my mouth.  There are only flakes and granola clusters.  Mmmmm....granola clusters.

I really liked the taste; it wasn't too sweet.  I will say that the flakes get soggy pretty quickly but if you are like me and don't mind that, then no big deal.

Honey Bunches of Oats are on sale at Brookshire's until June 5th and there is a printable coupon for the fruit variety (I hope it is included in the sale).

Post provided me with a free sample of Honey Bunches of Oats - Honey Roasted so I could review them.  However, all opinions and cereal addiction issues are my own.

  1. I seriously love cereal too...and I can't keep it in the house because I'll eat it all for midnight snacks and then my kids think it's perfectly fine to start your day off by consuming twice the recommended daily serving of sugar.

    1. Maybe we should start a Cereal Addicts Anonymous group. ;)
