Dishing It Up Recipe Hop

I am so pleased to present to you the Dishing it Up recipe hop along with this fine group of ladies:  Thrifty Texas Penny, Mama's Money Tree, Deals From Ms. Do, Saving Myself Silly, Dearly Domestic, 20 Something Saver, The Happy Lil' Homemaker, and Eating With MiMi.

Recently we have started a Dishing It Up website.  That's right, all recipe links all the time.  :)  Come by and check us out.

This month we will be looking at freezer recipes.

Food from the freezer has saved my hiney-bo many a time.  Two or three times a year I have a massive baking day and will make all manner of breakfast foods for my peeps.  The food from that will feed Engineer and Diva several month's worth of breakfasts.

One of our favorites is Mrs. Wilma's Oat Muffins.  I was first introduced to these when my family visited some Canadian friends.  We stayed in their condo and Mrs. Wilma had a freezer full of these muffins for us to grab, microwave, and go.  I have fond memories of that trip and these muffins.

They have never come out the same way twice.  I have used whey or a milk/yogurt mixture instead of buttermilk.  I have used fruit, nuts, seeds, and chocolate chips in various combinations.  No matter how I fix them, they are always yummy.
