Madly In Love Monday

This weekend we attended Engineer's graduation ceremony for his Master's Degree.

He did not want to go.  He thought it was silly to go - after all, his diploma is already framed and on his office wall.   He was adamant that we would not go refusing to go reluctant (to say the least) to go.

Yet, we went.

And had a wonderful time.

And his little girl got to see him walk across the stage - a testament to hard work and dedication.  She could see the payoff of all the effort he had put into his education.  There it was, all of those late nights of studying, his books spread all over the dining room table, the times she had to be quiet because he was taking an exam, culminating in the simple act of walking across a stage to accept a piece of paper.

That in itself was worth the trip.

But what I am mostly madly about this Monday, is that Engineer did it for me.  I told him that all I wanted for Christmas was to see him graduate.

I got my present a little early this year.

1-4-3 EM!  I am so proud of you and my Christmas pressie is one to cherish.
