Madly in Love Monday

I really like the cooler months because of the cozy, warm, fuzziness of them.  Sweaters, cuddly socks, flannel pjs, the whole nine yards - I love it.

The flip side of that is of course, you have to be chilly or downright cold in order to get that lovely snugly warming-up feeling.  I do not like being cold.

Let me say that again with feeling:  I DO NOT LIKE FEELING COLD.

I break into violent shivers and my teeth chatter so loudly that one might be afraid of glass shattering.  I was not built to be in a cold climate.  And yes, England is a cold* and wet climate so you can imagine that every time I walked out of the house, I was wearing 18 layers of clothes and would still be chilled.

So here's the deal:  Engineer turns on the electric blanket for me before we go to bed.  Ahhhhhh....  Electric blankets were divinely inspired.  About 15-20 minutes before we go to bed, he will turn on the blanket so that it is so toasty when I jump into bed.  I love love LOVE that he does that for me.

I am thankful for my Engineer who is sensitive to my need to be warm.  That is really thoughtful and sweet and I'm sure it has nothing to do with me shaking the bed with my shivers if the blanket is not on, right honey?

1-4-3 EM!

*Anything below 65F is cold to me and anything below 50F is near unbearable.

This is part of Heavenly Homemakers Gratituesday.
