Carmex Review

It's about that time y'all.  That time of year when my hands start to look like the Cryptkeeper's.  And no matter how many times I apply lotion, they still look like I'm approximately 175 years old - give or take a couple of decades.

And...

'Tis the season for colds which means we wash our hands even more than usual to ward off nasty bugs.  Between washing hands constantly and the cranked up heater which dries out everything from nasal passages to tootsies, wintertime skin needs some serious help.  While I do not recommend sticking Carmex up your dry nose, for all of the other dry spots on your body, Carmex's Healing Lotion and Healing Cream are fabulous!

The Healing Lotion is the only lotion that I have found actually penetrates my skin and has some staying power; I don't have to re-apply nearly as often.  I have not found it to be greasy and it absorbs pretty quickly.

Now for the Healing Cream, that stuff is like a miracle in a tube.  I have had rough patches on my elbows before that after weeks of using other lotion, they looked no better.  After a couple of days of using the Healing Cream I saw drastic improvement.

For 75 years, Carmex has been healing and soothing and tingling lips and now they have lotions to heal, soothe, and tingle your skin.

I am a long time Carmex fan and unless they change something (don't you change anything Carmex, you hear me!) I will be evermore.

You can find Carmex Healing Lotion and Healing Cream at Walgreens, CVS, and Wal-Mart.  The trial size at $.99 would be a great stocking stuffer. OR...you could win a full-sized tube each of the cream and lotion here!   Carmex is feeling a little generous and will give away a full sized tube of each healing lotion to one of my readers.

All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what you do to beat the winter skin blues.  On Saturday, December 3rd, Diva will draw a name out of a fabulous hat with the winner's name announced on Sunday, Dec. 4th.  The winner will have until Dec. 7th to contact me before a new name is drawn.  Good luck!

*My review is my personal opinion. I was sent products to review for participating. Like I said before, I really like Carmex products so I would have been very hard on them if they made a product that was inferior to the others in their line. :)

  11. What I do to beat the winter time blues is after showering when I am still damp, I put dry skin loting on my arms and legs. This helps me keep my skin soft. I remember to put extra dry skin lotion on my back because I forget that my back gets dry too.
