Menu Plan Monday

This week is our last full week of summer.  Next week school starts but only one Moppins will be starting classes this time around (hallelujah!)

We have middle school orientation tonight.  MIDDLE SCHOOL?!  When did that happen?  Now my baby is a tween and in middle school?!  Deary me...I need a cookie...

This week I would like to keep somewhat simple suppers by eating out of the freezer.  I am desperately trying to finish canning produce and to refill the freezer with breakfast goodies since my peeps like their baked goods in the morning.  And I'll tell ya, once I've spent a good portion of the day canning and baking, I don't feel much like making supper, thus the easy meals.

Monday - Chili with Cornbead Waffles (I really like this recipe for the waffles) & Watermelon Slices
Tuesday - Roasted Vegetable Linguine and Cucumber Salad
Wednesday - Sausage, Biscuits & Gravy with Fruit Salad
Thursday - Crockpot Chicken (I didn't get to it last week), Green Bean Casserole, & Rice
Friday - Date Night

This is part of Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday.

  1. I know what you mean. I have made strawberry jam and raspberry jam this month...except now I am in SC and it is so hot it's hard to cook. Visiting daughter and family.

  2. Howdy Ms. Ally's Grandma! Mmmm...Raspberry jam is soooo good. No commercial jam can replicate that intense raspberry flavor like good ol' homemade can. Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice visit with your family.
