What's Cooking?

(Yes, those are jean pockets.
They are perfect for holding silverware and napkins.
Thanks to Wastutsey for those.)

This past weekend we hosted Supper Club at our house.  We had a red, white, & blue cook-out theme which seemed perfect for a July get together.
How we run our Supper Club is like this:
  • The host couple decides the theme and menu
  • They are responsible for the main course and drinks
  • The hosts give recipes out for the other courses to the other couples
Our menu this time consisted of:

Prosciutto-wrapped Arugula Parcels with a Fig Dipping Sauce
Brie & Blueberry-Fig Preserve En Croute served with Pita Crackers
Burger Bar
Cilantro Slaw
Red, White, & Blue Trifle

Cilantro Slaw is so tasty and easy.   Here is the recipe:

Cilantro Slaw

Handful of cilantro, chopped
1 bag Cole Slaw cabbage mix
Ranch dressing, to taste
A squirt of lime juice (optional)

Mix all ingredients and chill until ready to serve.

(See, I told it you it was easy.)
