What's Cooking?
You've heard a lot this week about Diva's party but you haven't seen the cake. Here it is:
The cake had to match the Drive-In theme and what goes with a movie better than popcorn?
Super Mom came over and helped me decorate it. She is awesome and crafty and I am a very good onlooker; we make a fabulous team. :)
Here's what we did:
I baked a 9x13 strawberry box mix cake - don't judge - then covered it with canned frosting - still with the not judging.
I had two fruit by the foot rolls that I cut into wonky strips. Super Mom had to then rectify my cuts to make them more suitable.
From that point on it was total teamwork. I handed Super Mom the black icing and she wrote with it. I cut up some homemade marshmallows (thank you Do-it-Yourself Mom for those) and Super Mom made them look like popcorn. She placed them nicely on the cake and I shoved mini marshmallows in the empty spaces.
Ah, teamwork is a beautiful thing. Thank you Super Mom for all of your help!
