Perfectly Practical #63 - Jewelry Hangers

I don't know about you but I like to be able to see my costume jewelry.  So I hang it up.

Hanging it makes it easier to find what you are looking for.
When my jewelry is not hung, I tend to wear whatever I wore last, or what is on top of the pile because it's the easiest to reach.  This way, all of the beads are on display so I can see what goes best with an outfit.

It also keeps jewelry from getting all tangled up or broken.
Don't you hate reaching for a necklace only to find that eight of his buddies are clinging to him for dear life?  When they are kept straight, you don't have that problem.

I do not have a proper jewelry hanger.
I use other items that are already around the house to use as jewelry hangers.

I have a bulletin board on the back wall of my closet (the first picture) and hang up the necklaces and some bracelets with pushpins.

Also, I have a candelabra that I found at the dump in England (remind me later to tell you all about the dump) and use it to hold more bracelets.

An antique dressing table's mirror is where I hang a few of my beads for decoration and ease of use.

Lastly, an old tie rack that was on the back of our bedroom door when we moved here was quickly commandeered to be used as a jewelry hanger.

I realize that these maybe unconventional methods of keeping your jewelry on display but it works for me.
