Menu Plan Monday

This week we have more.  More swimming lessons, more piano lessons, more art camp, more VBS, more frugal living classes, more appointments, more cucumbers to pickle, just more.
So I would like to cook less if at all possible...but that's probably not possible.

Monday - Beans, Greens, & Cornbread (already in the freezer)
Tuesday - Having Company Over
Wednesday - Pasta Bake (made from whatever is growing in the garden)
Thursday - Chicken Fried Steak Fingers, Roast Potatoes, & Tomato & Onion Salad
Friday - Date Night

But wait...This was my meal plan until I woke up Sunday morning to find my oven had decided to die.  (The old girl is original to the house so I will forgive her.)

This just goes to show be careful what you wish for because now, I will be cooking less this week.

This is part of Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday.

  1. LOVE your blog design! Also love how you can just pick from your garden and create. We're experimenting with a tomato plant, pepper plant & a bean plant (yes, just one of each).

  2. Thanks so much Ms. Christina; that's very kind of you to say. I love having the garden in the back yard because it makes lunch times super easy when you can just go out the back door and grab your side dishes. As for suppers, in the summer, they cosist of a lot of salads and pasta primaveras. :) THanks for stopping by!

  3. oh goodness, I had skimmed over your posts for the past few days while were were out of town. I just caught that your stove died. You didn't mention it yesterday-Did you get a new one already? And no microwave-I think I would have about had a complete meltdown and exclaimed it to be pizza every night for the week!

  4. No we didn't get a new one. Somehow or another we fiddled with the dials and it started working again. Whew! And still no microwave... ;)
