What's Cooking?

Last Saturday we had our Ladies Wot Brunch get together.
On the menu we had:

Heavenly Hazelnut Coffee
Herbed Water
A Sweet & A Savory Breakfast Casserole
Flowered Mixed Green and Herb Salad w/Homemade Dressing
Hot Fudge Cheesecake

A few notes:

If you live near a Brookshire's, like flavored coffees, and you haven't tried the Brookshire's best flavored coffees before, what are you waiting for?  They really are very good and often you can get them on sale B1G1.

Herbed water makes everything fancier.  :)

Even if you are pretty sure you have all of the ingredients to make all of the dishes you have planned for, just make sure.  Or else you will be scrambling around trying to figure out what you have available and can whip up last minute to accomodate your guests and you end up with two different breakfast casseroles.

Plant a garden with herbs and edible flowers.  If all else fails, you will have a tasty, healthy, and interesting side dish.

Cold fruit soups are wonderful, healthy, quick, can be made ahead and are super simple!

Everything will be just fine if you poor hot fudge sauce over the top.  ;)  The recipe (pictured on the cover) came out of my little cheesecake bible Southern Living's Little Book of Cheesecakes.

This is part of Miz Helen's Full Plate Thursday.
