Menu Ideas From the Brookshire's Ad

A meal plan is a great way to save money and not waste food.

I want to show you that as long as you are intentional in your shopping and cooking, you will save money on your grocery bill regardless if you use coupons or not.  Generally, the cost of the whole meal will be less than or equal to the tip you leave at a restaurant.)

These menu ideas are based on a family of 4 and taken directly from the Brookshire's circulars.

This week you could feed your family:

Chicken Enchiladas, South Western Style Pasta Salad, & Green Salad
Use:  2 chicken breasts from The Real Big Deal (shredded), Food Club Diced Tomatoes w/ Chillies (drained), Dean's Onion Dip (mix all of those for filling), Mission Tortillas, La Victoria's Salsa, Southwestern Style Suddenly Salad from The Real Big Deal, Kraft Shredded Cheese

Grilled Chicken Salad
Use:  2 chicken breasts from TRBD (marinated, grilled, & sliced), Strawberries, Lawry's Marinade, Kraft Salad Dressing, Fresh Express Salad

Chicken, Broccoli, Rice Casserole with Mixed Veggies
Use:  2 chicken breasts from TRBD (shredded), PictSweet Frozen Broccoli, PictSweet Frozen Mixed Veggies x 2, Food Club Rice 2lb. bag

BBQ Sandwiches, Baked Potatoes, & Beans

The grand total for 9 meals without coupons is around $63.45.  That breaks down to $7.05 per meal or $1.76 per person per meal.

The grand total for 9 meals with coupons is around $55.65.  That breaks down to $6.18 per meal or $1.55 per person per meal.
