Menu Plan Monday

After taking an inventory of what lies beneath in the fridges' freezers (I haven't even begun spelunking in the chest freezer yet) I have decided that we have a very good chance of making it without buying food for the next few months weeks.  Part of being practical is knowing when to stop and use what's on hand, right?

Monday - Jambalaya, Fried Okra, & Cornbread Muffins
Tuesday - Baked Ham, Greens,  Mixed Summer Squash, & Rolls
Wednesday - Grilled Chicken Salad
Thursday - Cuban Sandwiches & Salad
Friday - Date Night

This is part or Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday.  If you need menu inspiration, that's the place to get it!

  1. Oh yes, we've embarked on Operation Clean Out the Freezer Darn It, too! It's great that we're spending practically nothing on meat lately - but I am putting away some "leftover" grocery money for restocking later, though!

  2. Mmmmmmmmmm.... Jambalaya sounds good to me right now! Maybe I'll put that on my menu soon.

I hope you'll stop by and visit me over at Free 2 Be Frugal sometime.

  3. We're just starting to rebuilt our pantry and freezer after 2 layoffs. It feels so good to be able to open the cupboard door and see food instead of empty space!

Have an amazing week. Love your menu plan.

  4. What a blessing Ms. Berry to have had that full pantry to weather the storm. Thanks for stopping by!
