Perfectly Practical #20 - What's in Your Purse?

Last week I mentioned that I always carry my "think pad" (small notepad and pen) with me in case I have a thought I don't want to forget or I need to entertain a little person while we are out.  That got me thinking about what else I try to always have at my fingertips while out and about:

  • Hand sanitizer - not just for before meals or after you pet someone's dog, but also for toilet seats or wiping down tables at a fast food place
  • Gum/Mints/Cough Drops - any of these will do
  • Cell Phone & Wallet are obvious
  • Business Cards
  • Handkerchief or Tissues
  • Feminine Product of some sort
That's about it in my purse.  I don't like having 45 items rattling around in my purse weighing me down.  It causes me serious frustration when I try to find one item which has been buried under the other 44 items.

I realize that this is not a comprehensive list of important items for everyone's bag.
If you have little people around, it is always prudent to carry some wipes and a diaper just in case.  Or if you are out with dogs a lot, then a plastic sack should be on hand.

What is a necessity in your purse?
