Wonderful Wednesday #5 - Marshall Music Club

On St. Patty's Day the Marshall Music Club & the Women of Trinity hosted a Corned Beef and Cabbage lunch and afterwards guests (especially Diva) were delighted by Mr. Jeffries performing Irish favorites on his bagpipes.

Many of you may not have ever heard of the Marshall Music Club before yet it is the oldest musical entity in the area (organized in 1913).  Every year they sponsor free concerts to promote American music as well as host a Young Artist's concert which is a marvelous platform for up and coming musicians to perform.

They also grant several scholarships each year to deserving High School and University music students - I was fortunate enough to receive one of those scholarships in High School.  It is a fantastic group of musicians, music educators, and music lovers.  Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 1 o'clock in various locations.

If you think you might like more information on the Marshall Music Club, please contact Mrs. Sandy Toussaint at (903) 938-3372.
